Carbon Cycle Solutions is a bicycle repair company that specialises in repairing carbon fibre bicycle frames. We repair bicycle frames of all disciplines, be it road, gravel, mountain bikes – if it’s carbon-framed, we’ll get it back up and running!

All our repairs are undertaken using methodologies used by aerospace and Formula One teams; unlike other carbon repair companies, we don’t simply ‘bandage’ the existing damage. Quite often, a ‘wet lay-up’ is employed by these companies, meaning resin may not be applied at the correct ratio, and the material used for repair differs from that used during manufacturing. This method of repair may be quicker, but it leaves up to 99% of the damage still in-situ, meaning further damage may occur in the future.

At Carbon Cycle Solutions, we remove all damaged fibre which future-proofs each repair. From there, a combination of uni-directional and woven pre-pregnated carbon material is applied to the area, which ensures that the correct ratio of carbon / resin is used at all times.

All repairs are cured in our composite-specific curing oven and cured as per the specifications of the carbon manufacturer. The curing process happens under a vacuum system, meaning the carbon materials are consolidated (laminated) into one solid piece of material, with all excess resins having been removed, effectively replicating the laminating process as used by the manufacturer.

Once repaired, the bicycle frame can either be lacquered and polished to show off the new carbon material or it can be resprayed by our dedicated paint team, matching the existing colourway, making the frame look good as new! We also offer a custom respray service, injecting new life into a tired frame and/or forks.
